Fisher Price Power Wheels Escalade, Ford F150, Wrangler and MORE!

Who knew there were so many ride on power wheels made for toddlers. I certainly didn't. My mentioned wanting to get my 2 1/2 year old a Fisher Price Barbie Power Wheels. I had no clue what it was so I did a little looking around!
fisher price barbie power wheels
Holy Cow! There are a lot of choices for the mobile toddler.

From what I've seen and read, the Power Wheels Escalade and the Wrangler Power Wheels are two of the toughest and most long lasting models around. People have kids still using these models even 4 or 5 years later. In fact, they are keeping that model and getting their younger kids a Power Wheels Ford f150, or for a new little girl a cute Power Wheels Mustang, yes, there's even a pink Barbie Power Wheels model.

My least favorite choice in these large machines is the Power Wheels Ninja. It is a real 4 wheeler for toddlers. I would highly suggest a helmet to go with this one. They sell full face youth helmets that should fit the average toddler. I wonder if a toddler's sense of balance is good enough yet to be maneuvering a four wheeler.

Most of these power wheels have 2 speeds, the low speed which goes up to 2.5 miles per hour. When your little one has control at that speed you can switch to the high speed which goes up to 5 miles an hour.

That seems a little over the top for me, but I'm a first time mom who's probably a little overprotective. lol.

All in all these Fisher Price Power Wheels seem well built, and long lasting, and many families end up with not only one but two of these ride on toys.

Fisher Price Learning Puppy

We received this as a gift for my daughter's first Christmas, even though there was a "no noisy toys" pact in place. Even though this toy is "noisy" it is also very educational. My daughter hates riding in the car, so we kept the learning puppy in the car so it was something special she didn't get to play with every day.

It worked like a charm. She learned tons on car rides. The Fisher Price Learning Puppy provides the opportunity to learn body parts, colors, numbers, songs and more. It is a sweet and charming little toy that is easy for small children to interact with. It only takes a soft touch on the paws, ears or tummy to activate the puppy.

The Laugh and Learn Puppy is a cuddly play pal for your baby that combines two modes of play -- learning mode and music games -- with 10 delightful songs. In Learning Mode, six hot spots on the puppy teach your child A-Z, body parts and colors through fun phrases and songs. Then, switch to Game Mode for fun phrases and songs, including the Alphabet Song, a color song, a counting song and a song that teaches body parts. In Game Mode, kids can also enjoy six additional songs that encourage interaction: Head Shoulders Knees and Toes, Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone, Pat-a-Cake, This Little Piggy, This Old Man and Bingo. Provides hours of interactive enjoyment.

Fisher Price fp3 Player

The Fisher Price fp3 player is an "mp3" player for kids. It is build kid tough and is able to stand up to whatever your kids put it through. It comes in two colors and blue and pink. The Kid-Tough FP3 Player is a real digital player designed just for preschoolers. It's tough enough and easy enough for kids to use.

It's also easy for parents to download songs and stories onto the player from the Fisher Price FP3 Song & Story Online Store, or from any CD you already own. The Kid-Tough FP3 Player features: A backlit 1.4-inch LCD screen that uses icons to help kids recognize and choose their favorite songs and stories all by themselves; big buttons that make it easy to navigate; Kid-tough design that stands up to the way preschoolers play.

It holds two hours of entertainment--that's approximately 30 songs or 15 stories; add an SD memory card to store even more songs and stories Headphones that are sized just right for little ones and that play at a safe volume; breakaway neck strap; six songs and two stories pre-loaded on the FP3 Player. There are hundreds more songs and stories ready for safe and simple download from our Song & Story Online Store. With the software CD we've included, you can: access the Fisher-Price FP3 Song & Story Online Store; browse hundreds of kid-appropriate songs and stories, all in one place; read expert recommendations to help you choose; purchase new and different songs and stories online, anytime; copy music from CDs you already own to your player; change and manage your player's songs and stories.

The reviews have been generally favorable. The one complaint is that you can't transfer music from an mp3 player like an ipod onto this player for your kids. Not a huge complaint, but I imagine if you store most of your music on an mp3 player it might be. Otherwise most people are simply using music they already have instead of buying from the online store. The new songs and stories are about 1.99 each.

Fisher Price Rainforest Collection

This isn't exactly toys, but the Fisher Price Rainforest Collection makes an excellent gift and many of the pieces in the collection will help mom keep baby entertained.

The collection is made up of all the different pieces of baby gear a mom could ever want. Starting from birth and moving through life with your baby into toddlerhood. This collection features the rainforest design which has a green background and shows birds and animals of the jungle.

You may want to start off with the Fisher Price Rainforest Peek a Boo Leaves Musical Mobile.
It features brightly colored animals rotating in the mobile, but more than that the leaves at the top move in and out playing peek a boo with a cute little dragonfly. It plays classical music and includes a remote so you can turn on the music without disturbing baby. It is a beautiful musical mobile and will make a wonderful addition to any nursery. Stop by for more Fisher Price Rainforest Mobile reviews.

Once your baby is a little older and starting to need some tummy time the Fisher Price Rainforest gym is the way to go. Again it features bright colors, and jungle animals. It provides plenty of things for baby to reach for and play with. It also has a mirror that will keep baby entertained and happy. Stop by for more Fisher Price Rainforest Gym reviews.

This is also a great age for baby to use the Fisher Price Rainforest Bouncer. The bouncer provides a variety of settings including music and vibrate. It also has enough toys to keep baby entertained. When baby kicks the spinning toys it sets off the music, which also helps teach cause and effect. If you have a fussy baby and need a few minutes for a shower or maybe to grab a bight to eat, this might do the trick to calm them down. Stop by for more Fisher Price Rainforest Bouncer reviews.

If you have a baby who needs constant motion, like mine did, you will probably want the Fisher Price Rainforest Swing. This is an open top swing, that plays music and entertains the baby with toys and rocking. Many babies will happily fall asleep in this swing. You can also turn the baby so they are rocking side to side or front to back. It's an excellent feature in case your baby doesn't like one way or the other. Stop by for more Fisher Price Rainforest Swing reviews from other new parents.

Granted there a tons of pieces to this collection including baby bedding, lamps, light switch covers, blankets just about anything you can think of they make in the rainforest collection.

The last thing I'm going to review today is the Fisher Price Rainforest Helathy Care High Chair. This is a high quality high chair. It is on casters (wheels) which lock for easy moving from one place to another. An entertaining toy fits directly on the high chair tray to keep baby busy while they are waiting to eat. The toy can come off and be played with while not in the high chair as well. There is also an insert for the tray which is removable and completely dishwasher safe, making cleanup much easier. The fabric of the Fisher Price Rainforest high chair is very washable with a damp cloth, it also features the fun and interesting jungle animals on a green background. As far as "kid furniture patterns" this one is very easy on the eyes. This high chair is highly recommended, as it is built to last and has a lot of features you will easily use for quite a long time. Fisher Price Little People Zoo

The Fisher Price Little People Zoo is a great little people playset. It gives toddlers the opportunity to not only to play and entertain themselves, but to learn more about exotic animals at the same time. There is a few versions of this playset as well, so make sure you are getting the one you really want before you order.

You can get the A to Z Learning Zoo playset, which is the most complex of the options and provides more animals and more learning opportunities, and more of a chance to use their imaginations. Kids discover lots more than fun when they explore this zoo they will learn about their letters, too! As little ones head out on the Alphabet Trail, they can press any letter to hear the beginning letter of that animals name or the sound it makes! They can even press on the music note to hear the A-B-C song with animal sounds or press on the question mark to answer questions about the animals they meet along the way. They'll also enjoy lots of different animal antics, like sending the monkey sliding down the tree, making the prairie dog pop up and more! Includes 26 animal figures, zookeeper, car, food cart, two fence pieces, waterfall, cave, tree with swing and interactive play mat!

There is also the Animal Sounds Zoo. Which is much smaller but is also considerably less expensive than the A to Z Learning Zoo. The Little People Animal Sounds Zoo features six different animals--polar bear, seal, monkey, lion, bird, and elephant--and environments for children to interact with. Each habitat floor has a small paw print that elicits the animal's sound when pressed with a finger or when the appropriate animal is placed on it. Each animal is made of soft, squeezable plastic and is about 3 inches tall, perfect for small hands. Children will enjoy the various sounds, animals, and habitats, especially the monkey. Hit the purple handle and the monkey shoots up a vine into the trees and shouts, "Ah-ah-eee-eee-oo-oo!" as he tries to grab a banana. Also included are two fence pieces and a small plastic car for the zookeeper

Here's what parents are saying about the A to Z Learning Zoo:

Little People A to Z Learning Zoo Playset

"We decided to purchase the Little People A-Z Learning Zoo for our daughter's 1st birthday, after we saw how much fun a friend's 16 month old daughter had with it."

"We bought this for our son about three years ago when he was 1 and he still plays with it today. Now our one-year-old daughter plays with it too. One of the best toys we ever bought for our kids. Its a great way to teach them letters and all about animals. The sounds of each animal are really great too. Even with a lot of use, its been very durable and still looks brand new. I highly recommend this toy!"

Here's what parents are saying about the Animal Sounds Zoo:

"My daughter received this for Christmas when she was 1 & 1/2. It was one of those "also ran" type gifts that my wife and I got for her... It was basically an after-thought, not one of the gifts that you carefully pick thinking this will be the "one" gift that is cherished. It was one of the last presents that she opened on Christmas day - but once it was out of the box, she could not be pulled away. Six months later (and a birthday along the way) it is still her favorite toy.

She fell in love with the elephant and brought it with her everywhere. Enventually she lost it and asked us where he went every day for 3 months. I finally called Fisher Price to order a replacement - which they were very good about sending (at a small price) a replacement.

Little People Animal Sounds Zoo

The toy is very simple and leaves a lot to the imagination. All the pieces are very durable (just keep an eye on them if they are so coveted that they travel frequently!).

For her birthday my daughter received the "Little People Home Sweet Home". Also a huge hit. Sadly, the "dad" from the Home Sweet Home set has been evicted by my daughter - in favor of the zoo keeper from "Animal Sounds Zoo" who seems quite pleased with his new-found wife and family ;)

Great toy!"

"I have a 10 month old and an almost 4 year old who sit and play TOGETHER with these toys, which is quite an age span to entertain, especially since they will both play for long periods of time with these toys. I like that there are enough electronic sounds to be entertaining (and are easy enough for my 10 month old to work), but do not limit the activity or imagination levels. I also like that the pieces are large enough that I don't have to worry about choking hazards for my younger child, and the animals are soft enough that she likes to chew on them and they are EXTREMELY durable (considering they have been jammed in the toy box a number of times and still look brand new). I also like how they encourage lots of imaginative play...which to me is as educational as anything. A great set to collect and to give as gifts. I cannot praise these toys enough!!!!"

"I never would've thought that this toy would be captivating for babies, but my 7 month old son loves it! Santa brought this for my 2.5 yr old daughter, and it is equally loved by both. My baby can actually hit the purple lever that makes the monkey jump up and activates the monkey sounds! He loves to mouthe the animals and fence pieces (much to sister's dismay!) All of the pieces are large enough for me to not worry about choking hazards. It's great to get so much play value out of a toy, and to see both kids happily playing together. If your infant can sit alone, he/she will probably enjoy this. Toddlers who love little people will definitely find this entertaining. Thumbs up!"

Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookie Set

Melissa and Doug are famous for creating toys that allow children to use their imagination, and develop their creativity. The Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookie Set is no exception. If you have the Melissa and Doug kitchen the cookie set is a must have.

This colorful wooden set includes twelve wooden, sliceable cookies and eighteen toppings, wooden knife, spatula, cookie sheet and a kitchen mitt for safe, "low-calorie" play. The cookies store in a durable dough tube.

Here's what other parents have to say about the Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookie Set:

Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookie Set

"We have a play kitchen but, did not have any play food. I wanted something durable and not the cheaper plastic that eventually would end up in the trash. I had originally purchased this for my daughter's birthday but, when it came it looked too fun to wait!! Even my sons (aged 8 & 4 1/2) have gotten in on the cookie making action. Great, durable toy that helps them use their imagination."

Helmet Heroes

I saw these on TV the other day and they have made the must have list for Christmas in our house. The reviews support my decision to grab up one of the Helmet Heroes for my daughter.

Helmet Heroes come with a helmet, with an internal headset, and a remote controller in the shape of a wheel, or handlebars for the motorcycle one. This incredible helmet delivers interactive role play in a whole new and innovative way. Slip on the helmet, and your preschooler is instantly in charge of the road and on the run. Use the handlebar unit to control lights and sounds. The helmet also includes a microphone so your child can hear himself as he races around. Provides hours of imaginative, role-play fun.

Here's what other parents have said about Helmet Heroes:

Playskool Adventure Squad
Racer

"I purchased this for my grandaughter and was a bit hesitant because I assumed it would be more enjoyable for little boys. But I was wrong, she loves it. It really gave her a chance to enjoy playing the role and use her imagination of being a police officer. She especially loved the microphone feature in which she could hear her voice over the speaker on the helmet. Great product for boys and girls!"

"My 3 year old loves anything that has to do with cars, trucks, police etc... We bought the police version of this and although the helmet seems a bit big on him he loves the interactive play. The best part is the microphone that when he pushes the talk button on the handheld device lets his voice be heard through the helmet. It seems very sturdy and he likes pushing the buttons to make the siren noises and the intereactive buttons that let the officers communicate with him."

"My three year old loves this helmet!! He has the police helmet and he loves it! My 8 month old loves it too because the lights go off on the helmet and she just laughs. He plays with it all day. Even my seven year old plays with him. It is a great gift!"
